TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan — Cagayan Museum and Historical Research Center Director and Curator Niรฑo Kevin D. Baclig is now officially designated as a member of the Executive Council of the National Committee on Museums (NCOM) representing the Northern Luzon Association of Museums (NLAM). In a letter sent to the Museum early this January, National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Chairman and Executive Director Eric B. Zerrudo confirmed Baclig’s membership to the Committee. In addition, Baclig has been elected as the Assistant Secretary of the NCOM, who will serve his term from January 2026 until December 2028. Baclig is also currently Vice-President of the NLAM, and a member of both International Council of Museums (ICOM) and the International Committee on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS). The NCOM is a body under the NCCA responsible for advancing museums as accessible and engaging learning spaces for the public. Representing both public and private institutions, it plays a vital role in promoting cultural heritage. (DESL, YAB)
