The Cagayan Museum and Historical Research Center is a cultural and historical institution dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich heritage of the Cagayan Valley. Established in 1973, the museum houses a diverse collection of archaeological finds, historical artifacts, ethnographic materials, antique items, and religious relics that reflect the region’s history from prehistoric times to the present. Located in a historic Spanish-era building once used as a tribunal and provincial jail, the museum serves as both a repository of cultural treasures and a research center for scholars and visitors. It features curated galleries, archival documents, and a library that provide valuable insights into Cagayan’s traditions, culture, and historical development.
